The Computer Consulting 101 Professional Kit was a self-paced training course for owners of small business technology companies, including computer consulting businesses, value added resellers, computer repair businesses, and network integrators -- primarily in the USA, Canada, the UK, and Australia.
Contents
The training program included:
- Downloadable special reports
- Downloadable worksheets, forms, and templates
- Teleseminar recordings -- for a very brief time shipped on cassette tape, then on audio CD, and then ultimately in downloadable format
Timeline
The Computer Consulting 101 Professional Kit was first released in December 2002 and pulled together a collection of related standalone special reports, worksheets, forms, templates, and teleseminar recordings.
While the training course sold quite well, two less expensive versions, the Computer Consulting Startup Kit ($197 US), with approximately half of the contents, and the Ultimate Service Agreement ($97 US), with approximately one quarter of the contents, were often confused with the more comprehensive Computer Consulting 101 Professional Kit ($397 US) and created some minor pre-sales and post-sales problems.
The Computer Consulting 101 Professional was replaced by the much more comprehensive Computer Consulting Kit Home Study Course and Computer Consulting Kit Club in March 2007, with support for the Computer Consulting 101 Professional Kit discontinued at the end of 2008.
Pivot
In 2013, the publisher of the Computer Consulting Kit Home Study Course began pivoting its core business model from training to implementation.
Because of dramatic market shifts in B2B purchasing cycles, where search, social, mobile, and cloud makes many traditional interruption-centric marketing channels anywhere from much less effective to obsolete, the company rebranded as SP Home Run Inc. and now provides outsourced Inbound marketing services for B2B technology companies.
